This NEW & EXCITING program is open to all teenagers, but is specifically geared towards teens with disabilities. TACI provides a once a month positive socialization opportunity for teens ages 12-17 in a supervised environment.

Come join the fun and learn a skill that can be enjoyed for a lifetime!
Sessions will be run by Cambridge Isanti Hockey Association coaching staff in this fun and effective training program. Each session will include skills instruction from the coaches (with assistance by boys and girls high school and youth hockey teams) and open skating time for the kids to warm up and practice the skills they are learning. Some of the skills covered include: balance, proper falling and getting up unassisted, march across the ice, one foot glides, forward and backward swizzles, backward wiggles, forward stroking/stride, forward crossovers left and right, one foot snowplow stop. Skaters will be split into groups based on their skill level and will work on the appropriate skills for their level and continue to progress through the more advanced skills.
Skates and helmets are required. Skaters MUST wear a bicycle or hockey helmet while on the ice. Dress with mittens/gloves and warm attire (snow pants, sweatpants, etc).
There will be an entry for a drawing for Minnesota WILD or PWHL tickets for those who register for this Learn To Skate session!
