  • Ooey Gooey Art (Grades K-3)

    Join this camp for all things messy, fun, and slimy! We will make our own slime, play with putty, and provide all participants with the recipes to do it all again at home. Playing and getting messy are the objectives of this camp! Please remember to dress for the mess. This camp will be taught by community education staff.

  • Flag Football (Grades K-6)

    Flag football is a growing alternative to full contact football that teaches basic skills and concepts. It is safer for you since there is no tackling. Learn the rules of the game, how to be a good sport and the critical skills necessary for advancing to tackle football. Please note that there are NO back-up locations or dates for this activity.   • Mini Majors ball (Ages 5 & 6)

    Grades noted are for the 2023-24 school year. Activities are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. This FUN, non-competitive league will build on your child's skills and knowledge of the game. There is no traveling involved and games are not played against other teams. When your child's group is ready for game action, players will be divided up and non-competitive games will be played. The easiest way to be notified about a weather related cancellation is to register for the "REMIND" email and text notifications. Once registered, if a cancellation is made, a message will be sent out and parents will immediately be informed of the cancellation. More information and directions on how to register for "REMIND" will be given out on the first day of practice. Please note, in an effort to keep activities running, weather related cancellations often occur at the last minute. Mini Majors Learn to play like the big leaguers! Beginning ball skills and basic rules will be taught with a focus on sportsmanship. Whiffle balls will be used and kids will bat from a “T” to develop proper form and encourage a sense of accomplishment. Coaches will decide if the group is ready for non-competitive games. If so, the group will be split into two teams. If the group is not quite ready, mini games and drills will be done instead to help prepare the participants for future games. No class July 1-5, 2024.   • Storybook Theatre - Goldilocks (Grade 1-adult)

    Order! Order in the courtroom! Today we will be hearing the case of the Bear Family against one Goldilocks. But the question is... will it be a fair trial? Goldilocks is so cute, and so charming... and doesn't she know it?! However, when the Bear Family accuses her of breaking and entering, robbing them of their favorite meal and property damage, it looks like Goldi might be in over her head. The only problem for the Bear Family is everyone loves Goldi! Will they be able to convince a jury of their peers that she isn't as sweet and innocent as she seems? Join us in this thrilling whodunnit to figure out who exactly broke into the Bear Family's home, ate their porridge, sat in all their chairs, and slept in their beds! Both sides will have to remember their days exactly as they happened to prove that they are right. In the end, will Goldi be found guilty, or will the Bear Family's case against her be dismissed? Everyone who participates will receive a part. Students are also needed for the tech crew to run the lights and sound. This is a GREAT opportunity for those who get nervous being on stage but love theater. All students are encouraged to bring an after-school snack. Registration deadline is September 9th.
