  • Lifeguard Training

    This course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The content and activities prepare participants to recognize, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies preventing drownings and injuries. Participants must be 15 years old by the conclusion of class. A printed color manual and American Red Cross certification fee is included. Students must swim 300 yards continuously, surface dive 7 - 10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without a ladder or steps within one minute & 40 seconds. Students must complete the online portion of the course (2 hours in length) prior to the first in-person class and participate in the Classroom and Water Skills Sessions. Once registered, information for accessing the online course will be emailed to the student approximately one week before the class starts.

    Open Swim

    Bring the family for fun in the pool. Youth under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Locker rooms are available. Registration online. $8 per swimmer. No money will be accepted at the door.
  • Parent and Child Swim (Ages 12 Months- 3 Years)

    Instructor will guide parents in helping their child adjust to the water and learn some basic swimming skills. Parents and children will be in the water for each class.     Preschool Aquatics (ages 4 & 5)

    This course develops skills taught in Parent and Child Swim. Children become comfortable in the water learning basic skills as well as basic water safety. Parents, please be prepared to get in the water on the first night. The instructor may tell you that a parent is not needed after evaluating the class.     Private Swim Lessons Our private swim lessons offer one-on-one instruction with a certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. Ideal for those who desire individual instruction, those who need to "catch up" on swimming skills, or adult learner. Semi-Private Swim Lessons Learn to swim with a friend or sibling. Students should be at a similar swimming skill level. Please register under one child's name. There will be questions in the registration about the other child. Registration includes six lessons, each 30 minutes in length. Children ages 4 & up will attend lessons independently (without a parent). Children under the age of 4 may need a parent in the water during the lesson, depending on the child's comfort level with he instructor. Level 6: Swimming & Skill Proficiency Stroke refinement is learned so students swim with ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances.   • Summer Swim Team (Grades 4-12)

    Enhance your swimming techniques for each stroke, gain the skills to be more efficient with turns and starts, focus on getting stronger, and train to swim efficiently and quickly. Individual workouts for all levels of competitive swimming provided. Students must have completed level 5 in swimming lessons, be able to swim 25 yards continuously and be comfortable in deep water.   • Synchronized Swimming (All ages, youth-adult)

    Synchronized swimming combines the grace of dancing and the flexibility of gymnastics with the water skills of a swimmer. Learn sculling, novice figure positions, and teamwork in the form of duets, trios and small teams. Develop flexibility and muscle strength while memorizing a routine set to music. Dazzle your family and friends with our end of class performance! Participants must be able to swim 300 yards and tread water for 3 minutes.
  • Water Safety Instructor Training

    Become certified to teach and evaluate American Red Cross swimming lessons for children and adults including water safety, survival and swimming skills. Class includes both classroom and pool time. There will be an on-line learning portion of the class (6.75 hours) that will need to be done prior to the in-person class start date. A printed color manual and American Red Cross certification fee is included. Prerequisites Must be 16 years of age on or before the last day of class. Must be proficient for at least 25 yards in the back crawl, breast stroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke and front crawl. Must attend all classes to pass - no refund will be issued if you do not pass. Please bring a swimsuit, towel, snacks, lunch, pen/pencil and a water bottle with each day.
