I grew up in the twin cities area playing sports and coaching youth teams. I earned my bachelor’s degree in education. After teaching and coaching several years, I became a certified personal trainer (CPT) in 2011. After having my two daughters, I really found my passion and decided to focus on working with older adults. In 2017, I started working with Walker Methodist Senior Living fitness centers and pursued a specialization in senior fitness through the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers (NCCPT), Parkinson’s Cycling Coach, and most recently a Certified Post Rehabilitation Specialist. I have been the Fitness Specialist at Walker Methodist Levande in Cambridge for 3 years. I believe everyone can exercise... it’s my passion to help you find movement and activity that you enjoy while feeling the benefits - exercise can be a fun and a life-long activity when we find the right exercises, modify movements, or create alternative options to fit your current fitness level and any limitations you may have. Active aging is more than just getting older, it includes enhancing your quality of life as you age – I love being able to offer opportunities to support your health through participation and motivate you to achieve your personal goals, gain strength and keep as much independence for activities of daily living asyou can.
