Mini Majors ball (Ages 5 & 6)
Grades noted are for the 2021-22 school year. Activities are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. This FUN, non-competitive league will build on your child's skills and knowledge of the game. There is no traveling involved and games are not played against other teams. When your child's group is ready for game action, players will be divided up and non-competitive games will be played. The easiest way to be notified about a weather related cancellation is to register for the "REMIND" email and text notifications. Once registered, if a cancellation is made, a message will be sent out and parents will immediately be informed of the cancellation. More information and directions on how to register for "REMIND" will be given out on the first day of practice. Please note, in an effort to keep activities running, weather related cancellations often occur at the last minute.Mini MajorsLearn to play like the big leaguers! Beginning ball skills and basic rules will be taught with a focus on sportsmanship. Whiffle balls will be used and kids will bat from a “T” to develop proper form and encourage a sense of accomplishment. Coaches will decide if the group is ready for non-competitive games. If so, the group will be split into two teams. If the group is not quite ready, mini games and drills will be done instead to help prepare the participants for future games.
