Youth Swim Summer 24

This course provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. The content and activities prepare participants to recognize, respond quickly and effectively to emergencies preventing drownings and injuries.

Participants must be 15 years old by the conclusion of class.

A printed color manual and American Red Cross certification fee is included.

Students must swim 300 yards continuously, surface dive 7 - 10 feet, retrieve a 10 pound object, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and exit the water without a ladder or steps within one minute & 40 seconds.

Students must complete the online portion of the course (2 hours in length) prior to the first in-person class and participate in the Classroom and Water Skills Sessions. Once registered, information for accessing the online course will be emailed to the student approximately one week before the class starts.
