Join Little Wilderness as we explore a handful of the county parks that Isanti County has to offer. Each park is unique in their own way! We will meet at a new park everyday and focus on a new theme inspired by the outdoors. During your child's exploration you can expect that they will get: an exciting educational lesson, a hands-on group activity, making an outdoor inspired snack and learning about each park. Feel free to stay after the event to utilize the trails and explore these Isanti County Parks as a family!
About Little Wilderness: At Little Wilderness, we strive to create a safe, comfortable and educational experience for children and youth to get outdoors. From hunting and fishing, camping and hiking, conservation and education, we provide a community where children of all ages have the opportunity to attend events and learn a variety of outdoor-related skills. Through these outdoor experiences we inspire children to have a lifelong passion for harvesting their own food, being in nature, and conserving the world around them. It's one of the most beneficial hobbies to instill in a child because it develops courage, determination, and resilience unlike other activities children are regularly engaged in.

My passion for the outdoors started at a young age hunting and fishing with my parents, and only grew from there. While in High School I was fortunate to be able to fly co-pilot with my father on wildfire smoke detection. From there I met many people in the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and decided to attend college to pursue a degree that allowed me to work outdoors. Graduating with a degree in biology and law enforcement provided me with many rewarding internships and job positions. Little Wilderness allows me to combine my education, background, and passion to get our youth outdoors. I am excited to offer some adventures, and introduce youth to some of the other awesome mentors I have met along the way!
