Young Americans-Schools of Self Defense - Advanced - Purple Belt or Higher - (Ages 10 & up)Youth RecreationStudents are instructed in non-aggressive, self-defense techniques and safety awareness. Personal esteem, respect for others, self-discipline and physical fitness are promoted. At the conclusion of class, students will be eligible to earn a certified belt. Returning students can earn a higher rank belt. Every child will receive a number of participation awards. On the first night of class, the instructor will explain the Young Americans expectations. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Students should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing such as sweat pants or shorts and a T-shirt. Uniforms are optional and can be purchased from the instructor. Advanced Level Returning students, over age 10, who have attained a green belt or above should register for this class.Youth Winter/Spring 2025

Women's Self Defense Seminar (Ages 15 & Up)Adult EnrichmentThis self-defense seminar will help you recognize potentially threatening situations from the major attack categories (frontal, side and rear attacks, weapon attacks, gang attacks and non-standing or ground attacks), acquire verbal skills, physical techniques, and confidence to effectively defend and escape from an assault. You will also gain insight into the use of frequently used self-defense devices such as pepper spray, noisemakers, tasers and many others. Emphasis is placed on empowering the mind to overcome fear and let go of the "victim mentality". Please wear comfortable clothing, as this class is active and hands-on.Adult Spring/Summer 2025
