  • Camp Invention: DISCOVER™ Summer Camp NEW

    Camp Invention has brought authentic invention education to children and educators across the country for more than 30 years. Real-world challenges lead children through unique STEM experiences that foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, week-long camp, young innovators will discover four all new adventures in hands on invention education. DISCOVER, this year’s brand-new program, provides you and your students with: Campers will use physics and engineering to make a DIY claw machine in Claw Arcade and explore entrepreneurship principles as they hook investors on their arcade experiences. In Illusion Workshop, they are introduced to optical illusions and create their own spinning animation device while they become special effects experts.     Whether you need to make a dull work presentation more lively, mix laughter with learning in the classroom, or ultimately want to write for print/production or perform your own stand up routine, this fast-paced session will show you how to apply humor to all aspects of your life. You will learn the anatomy of a joke, how to use your powers of observation to sharpen your wit, write different types of jokes, and use humor to entertain and influence people.     Dirt roads, farm fields and campfires! These are just a few of the images that are sung about in country songs. Join Musician Pierre and learn how to strum chords, pick melodies and play an easy classic country song on the acoustic guitar. Student sized acoustic guitar provided or you’re welcome to bring your own. For youth ages 9-11. A parent needs to attend with their child to help with instrument placement if needed. Enrollment is limited to one family per camp. When registering for this Music Camp, our online registration system only allows you to register/list one person however anyone in your immediate Family is welcome to attend the camp!
