  • Driver Education Classroom

    We offer classroom and behind-the-wheel driving instruction that is required to become a licensed driver in the state of MN through a curriculum designed by professional educators and taught by licensed teachers. The State of Minnesota requires potential drivers under the age of 18 to complete and pass a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction. The last day of class is a makeup day. Students are required to be registered for Behind-the-Wheel (6 hours)instruction before they are eligible to take their permit test. For information on the steps to become a licensed driver, go to c-ischools.org. Click on Community, then Community Education. Due to signature requirements, phone registrations are not available. Classroom instruction only: $165 Behind-the-Wheel instruction only: $295 Both: $409 - over $50 savings! - savings will be reflected in your online cart when you register for both this class and Behind the Wheel A reduced Rate is available for students that receive free and reduced lunch. Verification of Free/Reduced School Lunch, SNAP or Medical Assistance (school yr 23-24) must also be provided to receive the reduced price.   • Driver Education Classroom - Virtual - Instructor Led

    We offer classroom and behind-the-wheel driving instruction that is required to become a licensed driver in the state of MN through a curriculum designed by professional educators and taught by licensed teachers. The State of Minnesota requires potential drivers under the age of 18 to complete and pass a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction. This course is VIRTUAL and all classes will meet via Google Meets to complete the traditional 30 hour Classroom portion of Driver Education. This will be similar to the in person class and led by Cambridge-Isanti Teacher. Students will be required to have a school issued or personal laptop or Chromebook, a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone available for all classes. Students are required to be registered for Behind-the-Wheel (6 hours)instruction before they are eligible to take their permit test.   • Driver Education Classroom - Virtual - At Your Own Pace Course

    We offer classroom and behind-the-wheel driving instruction that is required to become a licensed driver in the state of MN through a curriculum designed by professional educators and taught by licensed teachers. The State of Minnesota requires potential drivers under the age of 18 to complete and pass a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction. This course is VIRTUAL and students will be able to take a fully online class that will allow them to work at their own pace through the 30 hour classroom portion. This option is a video based class and will cover all of the material needed to prepare students to become ready for the written exam needed to get their permit. Students will be required to have a school issued or personal laptop or Chromebook, a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone available for all classes. Students are required to be registered for Behind-the-Wheel (6 hours)instruction before they are eligible to take their permit test.     Camp Invention has brought authentic invention education to children and educators across the country for more than 30 years. Real-world challenges lead children through unique STEM experiences that foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity. During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, week-long camp, young innovators will discover four all new adventures in hands on invention education. DISCOVER, this year’s brand-new program, provides you and your students with: Campers will use physics and engineering to make a DIY claw machine in Claw Arcade and explore entrepreneurship principles as they hook investors on their arcade experiences. In Illusion Workshop, they are introduced to optical illusions and create their own spinning animation device while they become special effects experts. During In Control, campers will be put in the driver’s seat by discovering how Artificial Intelligence is imbedded in everyday road trip items like GPS and they rise to the challenge to create their own Control Panel to send secret morse code messages. Campers embark on an eco-expedition in Penguin Launch with Snow-ver, a robotic research penguin to investigate penguin habitats while creating flippers and launchers to propel their own plush magnetic penguins across the South Pole.
