    Based on the classic tale from “The Arabian Nights,” “Alladin” is a musical journey told with the special twists Prairie Fire is known for. Through his accidental discovery of the powers of the magic lamp, Alladin is transformed into the richest person in the kingdom. Alladin falls victim to the evils of money and power. He demands more and more of the Genie of the Lamp and becomes consumed by greed. Prairie Fire is a professional touring theatre company that has been bringing theatre to young people throughout the Midwest since 1987, and is the proud recipient of the Minnesota Alliance for the Arts in Education Award for Excellence.     Learn the sport of BMX bike racing on special balance bikes, designed for young riders who can’t pedal a bike. Receive hands-on riding instruction and practice new skills. Please wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Balance bikes and helmets required. There are a limited number of balance bikes and helmets available at the track on a first come, first serve basis.   • BMX Pedal Bike Racing (Grades K & up)

    Join other youth and learn the sport of BMX bike racing. You will learn BMX fundamentals including what BMX racing is, racing bike types, BMX terminology, course set-up & safety and hands-on riding instruction from some of the top BMX riders in the United States. Please wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Bikes and helmets are required, so bring whatever you have.     Explore the worlds of science, technology, engineering and math. Experience chemistry with sloppy, sticky experiments creating slime. Learn about engineering and technology by building simple catapults, then use math as you calculate the trajectory of your projectile. Each session is filled with engaging experiments and activities.     Going to be home alone for short periods of time? This class is a must. Focus on safety issues dealing with answering the telephone and door, stranger safety, where to keep keys, emergency information, and basic first aid including choking, bleeding, burns and CPR. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take home information and discuss it with their child.
