    Your child will enjoy learning about engineering and chemistry with this hands-on STEM sampler kit! Students will take their first first steps into engineering by designing and building their very own Art-Bot (complete with a motor, battery holder and more!), by following the easy to use Activity/Picture Guide. Then, your child will give their robot a personality with the craft supplies included in the kit. In addition, your child will step into their own science lab and test the pH of six everyday substances. The Specifics: Gymnasts must be a member of the CIHS Gymnastics Team. Instructor permission is required. COVID Safety Precautions: 1. Gymnasts must wear face masks upon entering the building until class starts. At that time, masks can be removed. Masks must be worn again immediately upon the conclusion of class. If a gymnast needs to use the locker room or bathroom, a mask must be worn into those areas. 2. Gymnasts need to bring their own water bottle with a tight lid. Water fountains are not available. 3. The Specifics: For boys and girls who have no previous experience or is not proficient in front roll, back roll, straight-arm bridge, handstand, or cartwheel. Gymnast will also work on the beam, bars and vault. COVID Safety Precautions: 1. Gymnasts must wear face masks upon entering the building until class starts. At that time, masks can be removed.   • Northern Elements Competitive All Star Cheer (Ages 5-18)

    Registration will close October 16. Please note: There is mandatory parents meeting on October 13th from 6:30-8:00PM in the IMS pit area. Both boys and girls of all levels of are invited to participate in our new and improved All Star Competitive Cheer program. With this new program, students do NOT have to be Cambridge-Isanti students. Participants will learn and perform choreographed routines consisting of stunts, jumps, tumbling and dance. Everyone who participates will be on a team! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. In addition to the registration fee, there will be additional fees for a performance uniform, competition fees and travel expenses. Fees will vary based on the team your child is on. Fundraising opportunities will be made available throughout the season. Please sign your athlete up for the level you think best matches your child's skills. Coaches may move a child up or down based on need and your child's skill set. Level 1 - Must be a new tumbler with no experience. Will master the bridge, front and back roll and cartwheel. Level 2 - Must have mastered all level 1 skills. Will learn front/back walk over, round off with rebound and dive roll. Level 3 - Must have mastered all level 1 and 2 skills. Will learn front/back handspring, round-off back handspring, step-out and half turns. Level 4 - Must have mastered all level 1, 2 and 3 skills. At the conclusion of class, students will be eligible to earn a certified belt. Returning students can earn a higher rank belt. Every child will receive a number of participation awards. Students should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing such as sweat pants or shorts and a T-shirt. Uniforms are optional and can be purchased from the instructor. Advanced Level Returning students, over age 10, who have attained a green belt or above should register for this class. COVID Safety Precautions: Face masks are required to be worn into the facility. They can be removed once class begins. However, if a participant leaves the classroom for use of the restroom or at the conclusion of class, a mask is required again. Participants must use hand sanitizer or wash hands prior to entering the classroom. Only the participant is allowed into the school building.   • Creative Studio 23 - Fall Hedgehog Drawing (Ages 5-12)

    Come create a cute fall hedgehog drawing as the instructor leads you through step by step. Students will work on drawing and coloring skills as they create this festive masterpiece! All materials provided. COVID Safety Precautions: Face masks are required. Participants must use hand sanitizer or wash hands prior to entering the classroom. Participants will social distance during class a minimum of 6 feet. If you or your child is sick and experiencing any COVID symptoms, please do not attend class.   • BMX Balance Bike Action (Ages 1-4)

    Join other preschools and learn the sport of BMX bike racing on special balance bikes called striders. Designed for young riders who can't quite pedal a bike yet, students will receive hands-on riding instruction and practice new skills. Please wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Balance bikes and helmets required. There are a limited number of balance bikes and helmets available at the track on a first come, first serve basis. A signed waiver is required for each participant, which is available upon check-in at the track. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch their child during class. Registration starts at 5:30PM.
  • BMX Pedal Bike Racing (Grades K & up)

    Join other youth and learn the sport of BMX bike racing. You will learn BMX fundamentals including what BMX racing is, racing bike types, BMX terminology, course set-up & safety and hands-on riding instruction from some of the top BMX riders in the United States. Please wear long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tennis shoes. Bikes and helmets are required, so bring whatever you have. There are a limited number of loaner bikes and helmets available at the track on a first come, first serve basis. A signed waiver is required for each participant, which is available upon check-in at the track. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch their child during class. Registration starts at 5:30PM.
