    Never painted with oil? No need to worry! This is the perfect class for painters of all levels who want to learn more about the various techniques used with oil. You'll connect with others in a relaxed environment as you receive step-by-step instructions and demonstrations. You'll find out just how easy it is to create a beautiful painting! Participants purchase their own supplies, estimated at about $80 for first time painters. For participants who have been in the class before or those who have supplies already, the cost is much less. A list of the supplies will be provided by email once minimum enrollment has been met. Please note, this class is in a new location.     The State of Minnesota requires insurance companies offer a reduction in automobile insurance rates for three years to those who attend an accident prevention course. Cambridge-Isanti Community Education Accident Prevention courses will discuss topics that will address safety, rules, distractions, hazards and driving responsibility. Instructors will provide the knowledge you need to become a more informed and safe driver. Community Education offers both 8-hour and 4-hour state approved courses. If you have taken an 8-hour approved course in the past you can register for the 4-hour course to renew your insurance discount. If you have not taken an automobile accident prevention course, register for the 8-hour course to start saving on your automobile insurance rates. This class is for married couples as it discusses Social Security benefits available to spouses. The workshop will cover: How much Social Security you and your spouse stand to receive over your joint lifetime. Rules and guidelines for when spouses should apply for benefits. How the decisions you make in your 60s can determine the amount of income you, or your surviving spouse, will have in your 80s and 90s. How spouses with little or no prior earnings can take advantage of Social Security benefits. How a little-known rule passed in 2000 has opened the door to creative spousal strategies.     Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies. The night will be filled with the stars, constellations, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and more! Class will begin indoors followed by quality time outside under the heavens. Large reflecting telescopes, including two giant 20-inch reflectors that are among the biggest mobile telescopes in Minnesota will give you a close up views of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and other wonders in our skies. You will also receive a handout package with user-friendly star maps and constellation charts, websites, a telescope buying guide, and more! Please dress for the weather and bring a comfy lawn chair. Classes are rarely cancelled. Even if it is cloudy, you'll learn a lot and have a great time!
