  • Mystery Quilt Adventure!

    If you love to quilt but but hate to drag your machine to class, this is the “class” for you! In the comfort of your own home, you will create a mystery quilt, meaning you won’t know what the final project will look like until the last stitch has been made. You choose to have clues sent to your email or your US mail box. You'll simply follow the weekly directions and the clues for 9 weeks (sometimes a little longer) By the end of class, you will have a completed quilt or quilt top. Sewing experience required, as there will be patterns to follow. If you have questions along the way, your instructor will be available to answer questions via phone and/or email. Your first set of clues/directions will be sent to you the week of January 25 (including the list of supplies needed). These clues/directions will continue through the week of March 22nd.
  • Daytime Oil Painting for Beginning & Experienced Painters (Ages 15 & up)

    Never painted with oil? No need to worry! This is the perfect class for painters of all levels who want to learn more about the various techniques used with oil. Connect with others in a relaxed environment as you receive step-by-step instructions and demonstrations. Find out just how easy it is to create a beautiful painting! (Supplies not included) Participants purchase their own supplies, estimated at about $80 for first time painters. For participants who have been in the class before or those who have supplies already, the cost is much less. A list of the supplies will be provided by email once minimum enrollment has been met.     Join us for the next class in our Instant Pot series - Hot Dishes! What Minnesotan doesn't love a good ol' hot dish? Choose to watch or cook along with the instructor right from your own kitchen as she creates two delicious hot dishes, a Chicken Wild Rice variety and Beef Stroganoff.     Minnesota requires insurance companies to offer a reduction in automobile insurance rates for three years to those who attend an accident prevention course. We offer both the initial 8-hour and the 4-hour refresher courses which discuss topics addressing safety, rules, distractions, hazards and driving responsibly. After the initial course, the refresher course must be taken every three years to continue your insurance discount. Please note: This class is happening in a new location. These classes will now be happening at the Education Services Center - 625 Main Street North in Cambridge. Please use door #5 to enter the building.   • Barn Storming: A Tour of Minnesota's Barns and Barn Quilts - Virtual Class (Mar)

    Minnesota is filled with countless numbers of barns. On some, you may notice something called a Barn Quilt. Barn Quilts are pieces of art on the side of a barn, shed, or house that look like a quilt square and usually tell a story.     This class offers dance patterns and moves that can be used in small places and on crowded dance floors at night clubs, parties, weddings and more! You will learn various underarm and cross turns for both dancers along with some “old time” favorites. Couples and singles welcome. Please note, participants will dance with the partner they come with only. If attending without a partner, social distance spacing will be maintained.
