  • CPR Health Care Course - Basic Life Support for Medical Staff

    Recertify now! This advanced CPR course with AED training is designed for nursing students, physicians, therapists and EMS personnel.     Enjoy this all-time favorite! Learn the country two-step and the swing. Master exciting and fun underarm turns, wraps and corner steps. Various partner dances will also be taught with plenty of time to practice. Pairs only please. Partners registered together will dance only with each other.   • Gentle Standing and Chair Yoga - Virtual Class

    Standing and chair warm up exercises and beginning yoga poses - no floor exercises. Improve flexibility, range of motion, strength, and balance, while reducing stress and tension. Get rid of aches and pains, sleep better, and feel better overall. Work at your own pace in this slower paced, relaxed class appropriate for everyone regardless of age and physical limitations. A chair is needed for this class. A folding or other low back chair is best, but any chair will work. A mat can be helpful but is not required. There are two options for participation: 1. Live Online Class & Recorded Video: This class includes one online zoom class each week, and an online class video that you can use on demand if you miss a class or for additional practice. A Zoom link will be sent out prior to class, along with a link to access the recorded video. The video for Winter will be active from January 5 - April 3. The video for Spring will be active from April 5 - June 5. 2. Recorded Video Only: You can choose to simply have access to an online recorded video of this class. Upon registration, you will receive a link to access the video, which you can watch as often as you like, whenever you'd like. The video for Winter will be active from January 5 - April 3.     Join us during our lap swim time in the deep end of the pool. Create your own workout by treading water, using pool noodles, weights and kick boards. A great alternative to lap swimming! Available in 1 hour time slots, with 2 deep end swimmers per hour. Please register to participate. Walk-ins not accepted. Please enter the building through the main school doors (#1) and enter the pool through the door by the girls locker room. Please note, the pool is closed for cleaning June 14-18, 2021.     Mudras, or “yoga of the hands” has been recognized for centuries as a simple yet effective healing tool. These hand positions are easy to do, take minutes to perform and can be done almost anywhere. Mudras are used to help relieve anxiety, stress, digestive issues, weight loss, bloating, insomnia and more! This is a virtual class that can be done right from the comfort of your own home.     Taiji (T’ai Chi) is a Chinese martial art that focuses on mental aspects integrated into movement. Benefits include: reduced bone loss in menopausal women, arthritis pain releif, reduced blood pressure, enhanced mental capacity and concentration, improved balance and stability, faster recovery from strokes and heart attacks, and symptom improvement of Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s. Please note, this class is happening at the Education Services Center, located at 625 Main Street North. Please enter the building using door #5.     Men and women are invited to this gentle yoga class where you will strengthen, stretch, relax and breathe. In this hybrid class format, choose to join us in-person or join us virtually by Zoom to participate from your home. The combination of movement and breath work provide a well-rounded, healing practice for mind, body and spirit. Appropriate for all levels. Please bring or have a yoga mat, water bottle and wear comfortable clothing and a mask. A Zoom link will be sent to your email prior to the first class for those who wish to participate virtually from home.

    Reduce aches and pains with a gentle, slow yoga practice to help re-educate your nervous system and release tight, constricted muscles. Each class will guide you through movements that will connect your mind and body, improving mobility, stability and strength. Take home an individualized plan to improve your movement.
