    Have you ever wanted to learn to play the Banjo, Mandolin, Ukulele, Bass Guitar or the Guitar? These classes are for all levels from beginner and beyond. Professional virtual instruction offered through Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School\. A unique and fun approach for starters, but with the ability to teach styles, theory and techniques to those with instrument experience. The Community Education package is for three 30 minute lessons. Your lessons will be scheduled within the month you registered for. Upon completion of registration Steve's Guitar will contact you to schedule your sessions.
  • Caring Through the Holidays

    What do you feel when you think of the holidays? This class focuses on what caregivers may be going through around the holidays, common signs of stress and how to avoid stress, common challenges for families around the holidays, tips for hosting or attending events, encouraging participation, and adapting holiday traditions. 1.5 hour class for caregivers presented by Collette Colucci, Community Educator/Aging Care Coordinator. There is no charge for this class, but you must pre-register so we know you are coming.
  • How To Publish Your Book Without Going Broke (Ages 15 & up)

    So, you’ve written a book. Now what? Whether you've written the great American novel and want to share it with the world, or your memoirs to pass on to family and friends, this class is for you. In these three sessions, you will learn how to prepare your manuscript for publishing, the business of selling your books, and some tips on marketing and promotion. Class includes a guidebook that will be emailed to you prior to class. This class will be taught via zoom.
  • Minnesota Medal of Honor Recipients - Virtual Class

    In honor of Veterans’ Day, learn the stories of some of the 72 Minnesota men who have been awarded the Medal of Honor, dating from the Civil War to the Vietnam Conflict. Meet the Schoolmaster who took his students to war, dooming their hometown to oblivion; a Hungarian Freedom Fighter who signed up to fight Commies in Vietnam; the Anoka hometown hero who smothered a grenade and lived to tell the tale, and a host of other brave men who fought and died for their country. This is an on-line virtual class. A Zoom link will be sent to your email prior to class.
  • Patchwork Piecing Basics (15 & up)

    Learn to rotary cut, piece and machine sew cotton patchwork, featuring 7 different blocks: Rail Fence, Square Dance, Nine Patch & Variation, Log Cabin, Friendship Star & Flying Geese. Beginners Welcome! You will complete at least 7 blocks for a runner or other quilt top. Fabric, sewing machine and other supplies provided. Visit the Quilterati shop to see samples. Price includes the fabric for a quilt top & binding and a 48 page quilting book!

    Restart a project that has been gone unfinished for too long & we’ll provide guidance; OR Select a kit from over 50 available in the shop and we will provide instruction needed to get you started. Beginners welcome! Sewing machines & all other supplies provided! See kit samples at shop, or bring your own project. Fabric & kits are 20% off during class. Start time of class is flexible for those who need to come after work.
  • Wills, Health Care Directives & Powers of Attorney (Ages 18 & up)

    Please note: There is paperwork for this class that should be completed before you attend class. Paperwork will be mailed to you about a week prior to class. Please bring the completed paperwork with you to class. If you were to pass away unexpectedly or become incapacitated. . . • Who would make financial or legal decisions on your behalf? • Would your estate have to go through probate? • Who would coordinate the probate for your estate? • To whom would your assets be distributed? • Who would be the guardian of your children? • Would your health care wishes be carried out? If you have a plan, you get to make your own choices. This course will help you answer these questions with the guidance of a licensed attorney. You will leave with a valid Will, Health Care Directive and Power of Attorney. This class is appropriate for you if the total of all of your individual assets is less than one million dollars (including real estate, life insurance, and retirement assets). Basic computer and typing skills are helpful, as you will be typing your official documents on a computer.
