  • BMX Pedal Bike Racing (Ages 4 & up)

    Rum River BMX was named the #1 track in the United States for BMK racing. At BMX, everyone gets to participate. It’s a great way for riders of all ages to stay active, build confidence, develop life skills, connect with others, and most importantly, have fun! During your time at the track you’ll learn the fundamentals, including but not limited to; Answers to the question “What is BMX racing?”, types of race bikes, BMX terminology and safety. The best part? You get to hit the track! Students will receive hands-on riding instructions and will practice their new skills on the BMX track. This course is designed for new riders (novices) interested in the sport. If you can pedal a bike without training wheels, you can participate! No special bikes required. No worries about bringing a bike with you, we have a fleet of HARO race bikes available in a number of sizes. Bikes and full face helmets are available on a first come first serve basis. A full-face helmet is recommended, as helmets are required. You must wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and close-toed shoes. *Children as young as 4 are welcome as long as they can pedal.   • Beginner Ballet (Ages 9-14) NEW

    Try ballet for the first time! This 6-week class for ages 9 to 14 will introduce you to the basic concepts of ballet, such as plie, tendu, adagio, and jumps. A perfect class to help young students decide whether ballet might be the pursuit for them! This class includes beginner ballet movements, overall body strengthening, clean music, original choreography, an enthusiastic teacher, and the opportunity for Mom and Dad to observe class on the last day!
  • Beginning Fencing (Ages 6 - Adult)

    Fencing is for all ages and skill levels. Learn at a comfortable pace and fence with others at your level. Emphasis is placed on a fun environment while learning the fundamentals of safe swordplay and fencing. All equipment is provided!
  • Bluejacket Team Tennis Drills (Grades 6-12)

    Middle School 1 and Middle School 2 Join your Bluejacket Tennis teammates on the courts for this training opportunity run by Bluejacket Tennis coaches. The emphasis will be on drills as well as competitive and fun games. High School 1 and High School 2 Join your Bluejacket Tennis teammates on the courts for this training opportunity run by Bluejacket Tennis coaches. The emphasis will be on drills as well as competitive and fun games. Please make sure to wear athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. (Note: These are not tennis lessons.) Participants registered by May 22nd will receive a t-shirt.   • Bluejacket Tennis Camp (Grades 2-5)

    A fun, fast way to get into tennis! Camp will include age-appropriate instruction and games led by Bluejacket High School Tennis coaches and high school players. The final day of camp will be a match / play day, with participants rotating through a series of age and skill-appropriate matches. Wear athletic shoes and bring water. Join us on the courts! Friday, June 13th will be a weather make-up day if needed. Students Entering Grades 2 and 3 Participants entering grades 2 and 3 can use our racquets. Students Entering Grades 4 and 5 Participants entering grades 4 and 5 should bring their own racquets. Participants registered by May 21st will receive a t-shirt.     Is your tiny dancer already twirling her way through your home? This class for ages 3 to 8 will offer her a chance to refine her dancing, express herself through movement, and meet friends who love the same thing she does!   • Intro to Kid's Ninja/Fitness Class (5-12 Yrs)

    This class combines exciting obstacle challenges, stretching out, short workout, kid's games, rock wall, and time for open play at the end. Lessens cover: muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, aerobic fitness/ninja fitness, fitness games/dodge ball. Kid's get a great workout while having a ton of fun!!
  • Small Group Tennis Lessons (Grades 2-5, 6-8, 9-12)

    Group Tennis Lessons: Students Entering Grades 2-5 Lessons will include age / skill-appropriate instruction and games. Participants entering 4th and 5th grades should bring their own racquets; participants entering 2nd and 3rd grades can use our racquets. Students Entering Grades 6-12 Work with a tennis instructor with a small group of players of similar ability. Focus of lessons will be based on participants’ current tennis skills. Middle School 1: Players entering grades 6-8 who have basic tennis knowledge and are familiar with scoring, forehands, and backhands Middle School 2: Players entering grades 6-8 who are newer to tennis or maybe haven’t played in a few years High School 1: Players who have lettered on the varsity tennis team, played one of the seven points or exhibition in varsity matches, or played one of the top positions on the JV 1 boys tennis team or the JV girls tennis team High School 2: Players who will be entering high school in the fall and players who have played JV 1 boys tennis or JV girls tennis Wear athletic shoes, sunscreen and bring water to every day of lessons.     Match time! Singles, doubles, mixed doubles--participants will play them all throughout this weekly match series to improve their overall competitive games. Court positioning, strategy, and match situations will be the focus. Join us on the court for weekly matches to improve your singles, doubles, and mental games.   • Young Americans-Schools of Self Defense - Advanced - Purple Belt or Higher - (Ages 10 & up)

    Students are instructed in non-aggressive, self-defense techniques and safety awareness. Personal esteem, respect for others, self-discipline and physical fitness are promoted. At the conclusion of class, students will be eligible to earn a certified belt. Returning students can earn a higher rank belt. Every child will receive a number of participation awards. On the first night of class, the instructor will explain the Young Americans expectations. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Students should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing such as sweat pants or shorts and a T-shirt. Uniforms are optional and can be purchased from the instructor. Advanced Level Returning students, over age 10, who have attained a green belt or above should register for this class.
  • Young Americans-Schools of Self Defense - Beginner (Ages 5 & up)

At the conclusion of class, you will be eligible to earn a certified belt. Returning students can earn a higher rank belt. Students should wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing such as sweat pants or shorts and a T-shirt. Uniforms are optional and can be purchased from the instructor. Intermediate Level Returning students who have attained a yellow belt (with or without a green stripe) should register for this class.
  • Youth Basketball Training NEW

    This class will give students the opportunity to work on their basketball skills, both physical and mental. The focus will be on the fundamentals of shooting, ball-handling skills, finishing drills, and understanding of the game of basketball. The program will consist of individual drills, small group drills, and game situation drills.
  • Youth Open Wrestling NEW

    Brand new & experienced wrestlers are welcome! Our practices will teach and build on the fundamentals of wrestling. We will have fun & engaging challenges that will improve wrestling skills and fitness.
