Dive into Excel with a guided exploration of how to create a new document and use the quick access toolbar, ribbon, and spreadsheet grid. This course will cover the basics of an Excel document including entering and formatting data and numbers, utilizing multiple pages and using Excel productively. The class is catered to a novice Excel use who would like instruction on application use from opening a new document to editing in simple terms.

Following the Beginning Excel class, this course will cover a more in-depth look at the offerings within Excel, including formulas, tables, calculations and conditional formatting. This class is suitable for a learner that has some familiarity with the Excel software and would like further instruction in more specific uses, such as conditional formatting and functions, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

Most accidents happen at home, but many are preventable. This class teaches you how to view a home through "safety goggles." We’ll cover fall prevention, lighting upgrades, and simple modifications that allow seniors to remain independent and safe in their own environment for as long as possible. There is no charge for this class, but please register so we know you are coming.

Please note: There is paperwork for this class that should be completed before you attend class. Paperwork will be mailed to you about a week prior to class. Please bring the completed paperwork with you to class. If you have a plan, you get to make your own choices. This course will help you answer these questions with the guidance of a licensed attorney. You will leave with a valid Will, Health Care Directive and Power of Attorney. This class is appropriate for you if the total of all of your individual assets is less than one million dollars (including real estate, life insurance, and retirement assets). Basic computer and typing skills are helpful, as you will be typing your official documents on a computer.
